AMAPCEO celebrates International Women’s Day; attends gala in Ottawa as Equal Voice representatives

Yesterday, AMAPCEO executives and staff attended an event in Ottawa as part of the week’s International Women’s Day celebrations and in recognition of visiting EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen. AMAPCEO attended as part of the Equal Voice delegation invited by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. AMAPCEO is the premier sponsor of Equal Voice, a national, multi-partisan group that advocates for the equal representation of women and gender-diverse candidates in all levels of government.
AMAPCEO representatives had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister, as well as several Cabinet Ministers. AMAPCEO also connected with Toronto Metropolitan University’s “Women in the House,” a group of young women in the Master of Public Policy and Admin in Ottawa to gain experience in Parliament working alongside MPs.
