Take Action Now to #FixTheSunshineList

We are all shocked by a recent report of a stalker using the Sunshine List to locate and harass a dedicated public servant. Despite taking significant steps to protect herself and her family, her employer—the Government of Ontario—provided her stalker all the information needed to track her down and harass her again through the publication of the Sunshine List.

Enough is enough. No one should have to choose between their job and their safety. Join us in urging the government to #FixTheSunshineList by adding your name to the letter below.

Minister of Finance Charles Sousa
Chair of the Treasury Board Eleanor McMahon

Re: Protect Women's Privacy - #FixTheSunshineList

Dear Premier Wynne, Ministers Sousa and McMahon, and Secretary Orsini,

I am alarmed by the recent report of the Sunshine List allowing a stalker to continue to harass a government employee.

Including individual names on the Sunshine List serves virtually no public benefit and puts the safety of public servants—especially women and their families—at risk.

If this government is concerned about women's safety, they will #FixTheSunshineList by removing individuals' names immediately.
