Candidates for ADC Retiree Delegate-at-Large (in alphabetical order)
Theresa Anderson-Butcher
Having been a long term delegate during my employment, I am very aware of the ins and outs of the Annual Delegates’ Conference and will be able to hit the ground running.
I’ve been retired for two years and am still not adjusted to the “slowing down” so many have mentioned.
I am excited to participate in this year’s ADC should I be elected to represent the Retiree’s Caucus.
Kate Azure
As the Retiree-at-Large for this year's ADC, I would pay great attention to listening to delegates about their issues and how these issues could affect our Retiree caucus.
How can we support the current working AMAPCEO membership? How would they like us to support them?
We Retirees are a privileged group.
Orlena Broomes, EdD., retired from the Ontario Public Service in 2020.
As a member of the Retire Caucus, Orlena is committed to bringing the concerns of AMAPCEO’s retirees to the ADC as a Retiree Delegate-at-Large. Our aging population is dealing with rising cost of living, declining health, decreased healthcare, climate change and the challenges of AI in a rapidly changing global political climate. As we work collaboratively for solutions, we are looking to be active participants in the governance of AMAPCEO and not merely retirees put out to pasture.
As a Retiree Delegate-at-Large I will be proud to represent a body of our aging population whose voice must not be silenced and whose opinion matter.
