The AMAPCEO Black Caucus invites your participation in the Black Mental Health Week Workshop: Finding Balance Through 7 Types of Rest.

Policy Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Red Tape Reduction and Founder of The Reach Series Inc.
This workshop will focus on how individuals can find balance through prioritizing rest in its various forms. Kwasi will share a personal story of burnout, and leave the audience with an understanding of how they can find the energy to succeed, thrive, and enjoy the fruits of their labour!

Kwasi Adu-Poku Bio:
Kwasi Adu-Poku is a Ghanaian-Canadian small business owner, McMaster Honours Kinesiology graduate and Master’s of Public Policy and Administration graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Kwasi was born in Rexdale, and grew up in the Jane & Finch community of Toronto. He currently works in the Ontario Ministry of Red Tape Reduction as a Policy Advisor.
In 2020 Kwasi launched The Reach Series based on the mental health challenges he faced in his life. He uses this platform to provide program planning, workshops, speaking services, and custom apparel around sustainable personal development. He has hosted/led nearly 70 speaking engagements to date, connecting various topics to wellness and practicality.
Kwasi recently developed a wellness program for the Black Creek Community Health Centre, where he led sessions to support the health and wellness of more than 130 Black men and youth across the GTA. He has also used his business to plant more than 300 trees globally, and cover 18 therapy sessions for Black-identifying individuals facing barriers. He also developed a scholarship directory based on the $70,000 in scholarship funding and 20+ leadership awards he received as a student. It has been shared with nearly 100 people and organizations. Kwasi aims to apply interdisciplinary approaches to his learning and life, which he often touches on when he speaks.
