Faites entendre votre voix !

Celebrating Franco-Ontarian Day and Ontario’s Francophonie of Tomorrow

Join AMAPCEO’s Francophone Caucus, FrancoNoir.e and Diversités Noires, to celebrate Franco-Ontarian Day, a celebration of the linguistic, cultural, and historical presence of the Francophone Community in Ontario.

The event is also an opportunity to learn how the Francophone community is becoming more diverse. This shift in demographics will have implications for policies and programs that you need to be aware of.

Keynote Speaker: Kelly De Fogain, Executive Director and Founder of Afropolitan Canada
Language: The event will be in both French & English

The Francophone community is becoming increasingly diverse due to the contributions of Ontario’s francophones in the diaspora. The francophone immigrant population is growing, becoming increasingly visible, and strengthening the evolution of la francophonie in Ontario.

Why this is important: By recognizing the future of la Francophonie in Ontario, we can better understand what the OPS can do to align itself with the province's everchanging diversity so that its resources, talent, and objectives effectively support those it employs and the people it serves, especially in the Francophone community.

Make your voice heard!
If you are a Francophone or Francophile AMAPCEO Member, you can join the AMAPCEO Francophone Caucus to hear about our events and to be consulted on matters of interest to Francophones.

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
