This series is only open to those who self-identify as Indigenous, or who are on their path to reclaiming their Indigeneity. Please note: this event is not open to allies.
Please join the AMAPCEO Indigenous Circle and former Circle Vice-Chair, Valerie Milburn, who will be leading a five-part series on Finding Roots: Reconnecting and Reclaiming Indigeneity.
In this session, Valerie Milburn will be exploring the themes in the book Following the River: Traces of Red River Women by Lorri Neilsen Glenn, and participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences. Reading the book in advance (while encouraged) is not a pre-requisite to attending any or all of the sessions, as the themes explored can be appreciated by participants beyond the content of the book.
You may plan to attend any or all of the sessions and do not need to have attended the previous one(s) in order to sign-up for the current session. The next session date(s) will be posted following each session, and this session on June 12 at noon ET will be a Sharing Circle to discuss the theme of ‘Searching’.
Please RSVP to attend.
Those who RSVP will have the opportunity to expense claims for the purchase of the book and will be sent the information to do so following registration. There are a limited number of books available for expense reimbursement, so be sure to register here to receive that opportunity.
