Each year at the Annual Delegates’ Conference (ADC), your District Delegates elect the executive officers of the Board of Directors, select members to sit on ADC committees, approve an annual budget, and vote on policy resolutions and proposed constitutional amendments which set the future direction for our union. This year’s ADC is scheduled for December 6, 7, and 8 in Toronto.
Most policy resolutions originate as a recommendation from a committee or are proposed by the Board of Directors, but it is also possible for individual Delegates to propose resolutions for consideration. Such individual resolutions start with a good idea or a belief that there is an issue that needs to be addressed or a problem fixed or a gap plugged. If you have an idea or suggestion that you feel should be considered, please get in touch with your District Director or a Delegate from your District to ask them to submit your idea in the form of a resolution for this year’s conference.
The deadline to submit a resolution or constitutional amendment is Friday, September 29, 2017 at 12 noon (ET).
