Last week, AMAPCEO and representatives from the OPS Employer met to officially strike a joint Collective Agreement implementation committee.
This committee will be charged with determining timelines and processes for the implementation of new provisions and changes to the OPS Collective Agreement, including:
- wages and retroactive payments;
- the implementation of the new Health Care Spending Account and a process for retroactive reimbursements for previous mental health expense claims; and
- and benefits and credits for members on fixed-term contracts.
The committee also agreed to collaborate on instructions for accessing these new provisions, which will be provided to members as Fact Sheets on the AMAPCEO website.
All implementation dates and deadlines will be jointly determined and shared by both AMAPCEO and the OPS Employer. The union will be continuing to press the Employer for urgency. Members are encouraged to keep their eyes on their inbox in the new year, and to ensure their contact information is up to date.
