Maryanna Lewyckyj has stepped down as Director of the Frost-Wellesley District. Lewyckyj will also be resigning her Workplace Representative role. AMAPCEO is incredibly grateful to Lewyckyj for her many contributions to the union over the past decade.

Under AMAPCEO’s former governance structure, she was a member of the Provincial Council from 2013-2016. Then, in 2017, she transitioned to the new geographic model, becoming an inaugural member of the Board of Directors. Lewyckyj sat on several committees throughout her time on the Board, including the Finance, Pension, and Workplace Relations committees.

Prior to her time on the Council and Board, Lewyckyj served as a Delegate. She was an active Workplace Representative since 2014.

“Maryanna has been a passionate advocate for AMAPCEO employees and a strong supporter of the labour movement,” said AMAPCEO President Dave Bulmer. “Her dedication and keen eye made her an asset to Council and the Board for a decade. I know I speak for the entire Board when I say that she will be missed, and that we wish her all the best.”

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
