Jerusha Richards, Caroline Lynch, and Jean Paul Ngana recently represented the AMAPCEO Black Caucus at the annual Harry Jerome Awards. These awards commemorate the legacy of Harry Jerome, Black Olympic athlete and activist, by celebrating the advocacy, activism, and accomplishments of Black Canadians in a variety of fields including, athletics, entrepreneurship, the arts, and more. A full list of Harry Jerome Award recipients, sponsors, and committee members can be found on their website.
“The event was an opportunity for us—as Black professionals in Ontario, and members of AMAPCEO Board of Directors and Black Caucus—to engage with each other and other members of the Black community, to celebrate the accomplishments of the award recipients, and to learn more about other initiatives that can support growth and development within the Black Community,” said Richards, Vice-Chair of the AMAPCEO Black Caucus.
AMAPCEO’s representatives were pleased to join attendees from other organizations across Canada for this important event, and extends their congratulations to all the award recipients.
