On Sunday February 1, 2026, the AMAPCEO Black Caucus attended the Ontario Black History Society’s 38th Black History Month Kick Off Brunch.

Members were joined by Chair Bonnie Wiltshire and Vice-Chair Colt Saint-Baptiste at the annual event to recognize the contributions of Black Canadians throughout history, and to celebrate current achievements.

AMAPCEO Black Caucus at the Ontario Black History Society’s 38th Black History Month Kick Off Brunch
The event showcased Toronto musical gem and singer/songwriter Charmie Deller, Keynote Speaker and awardee Matthew Greene, and awardees Angela Carter, Philmore Broome, Gwyneth Chapman, Roodney Clarke, as well as students from Toronto Metropolitan University.

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
