As members are aware, AMAPCEO has steadfastly maintained ongoing discussions with the Ontario Public Service (OPS) employer regarding a remedy for wage increases lost under the unconstitutional wage limiting legislation Bill 124. These discussions have occurred as the coalition of unions awaits a decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal on the government’s appeal of the Superior Court’s decision to strike down the legislation.
Earlier today, our colleagues at OPSEU, our fellow OPS public service union, announced a wage reopener agreement with the OPS employer for their own members. We congratulate them on securing such a strong result.
AMAPCEO remains engaged with the OPS employer in discussions aimed at determining a similar process for a Bill 124 remedy for our own members. We are confident we will have more progress to report in the very near future. As always, we are committed to fighting for the best outcome for our members.
We encourage AMAPCEO members to keep their eyes on their inbox and ensure their subscription preferences are up to date.
