In a demonstration of support for striking TSSA workers in OPSEU Local 546, the AMAPCEO Executive Committee unanimously approved a $2,500 donation to OPSEU Local 546 hardship fund.
This is TSSA safety inspectors’ first contract and they have been on strike for over ten weeks now, after their employer walked away from the table rather than negotiate fairly. These workers help ensure the safety of the people of Ontario every day. They deserve respect, and fair, safe working conditions.
“AMAPCEO is proud to stand in solidarity with the workers of OPSEU Local 546, and with all our allies on the Toronto York Region Labour Council, as they bargain for their members,” said President Dave Bulmer.
