AMAPCEO is pleased to announce that several new members will be joining our Supply Ontario bargaining unit. These new members include Supply Ontario employees who previously were not represented by any union, and former third-party contractors.
When AMAPCEO discovered that the work being performed by these two groups belonged within our bargaining unit, we took immediate action to defend our members and protect the scope of the bargaining unit’s work. We filed two separate disputes and prevailed in both cases.
“In welcoming these new members to Supply Ontario, we are not only protecting their jobs, we are increasing the size of the bargaining unit by almost 50 per cent,” said AMAPCEO President Dave Bulmer. “And as we like to say: we’re stronger together.”
The new members will be joining the union in early May—just in time for negotiations for Supply Ontario’s first collective agreement as an independent unit.
