Wednesday, April 29, 2026

AMAPCEO-represented employees at Public Health Ontario ratified their 2025-2028 Collective Agreement, with 97 per cent voting in favour.

The new agreement includes across-the-board increases, improvements to mental health benefits, the establishment of a new Health Care Spending Account, flexible work protections, and more.

“AMAPCEO members at Public Health Ontario stood together and stood strong for a fair agreement in this round of bargaining,” said President Dave Bulmer. “They demonstrated their strength and solidarity on coordinated action days by wearing blue and their AMAPCEO buttons.”

Bulmer added, “AMAPCEO is grateful to Public Health Ontario Bargaining Team members Ellen Chan and Maurice Coppin, and staff supports Lee Douitis, Linda Markac, and Jennifer Saba.”

Members can find the memorandum of settlement, as well as highlights of the new agreement, at amapceo.ca/bargaining/pho/agreement.

In the coming weeks, AMAPCEO will be updating relevant fact sheets for the PHO bargaining unit.

If you have questions about the new agreement or merger of the bargaining units, please contact Lee Douitsis at douitsis@amapceo.on.ca.

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
