AMAPCEO hosted the 2025 Workplace Representatives’ Conference (WPR) Conference on Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18 at the Hilton Hotel in Toronto, with 134 WPRs in attendance.
The two-day event kicked off with a State of the Union address by President Dave Bulmer. This was followed by a years of service recognition ceremony honouring long-time WPRs including Toyosi Bello, Sophie Georgas and Cedric Nazareth, who each reached 15 years of service.
This year’s conference also included:
- Guest speaker Saneliso Moyo (Goldblatt Partners) on “Trauma-Informed Representation”
- Guest speaker Dr. Ellen Choi on “Preparing for Difficult Conversations”
- Workshops on “Addressing Toxic & Unhappy Workplaces” and “Discipline & Discharge”
