AMAPCEO congratulates Premier-designate Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario on their successful campaign.
Over our 25-year history AMAPCEO has worked with PC, Liberal, and NDP governments in the provision of high quality public services—and we expect that to continue.
Our congratulations also go out to the Green Party on winning their first ever seat in the legislature and to the New Democrats for doubling their representation and with it achieving Official Opposition status.
We should also recognize that AMAPCEO members have worked alongside the outgoing Liberal government for 15 years – providing professional policy and program expertise across all Ministries and in our Broader Public Sector agencies and offices. While there were definitely times of austerity and differing policy opinions to work through at a Union/Employer level—the workplace never suffered, because AMAPCEO members maintained a non-partisan approach, put public service above all and because we as a Union were able to build and maintain a decent working relationship.
As dedicated public servants, we renew our commitment to providing the best professional public services possible. As Ontario’s Professional Employees, AMAPCEO renews its commitment to protecting the Public Service—a bedrock of our society.
