Damian Suffoletta brings years of experience on AMAPCEO's Finance Committee to the role.

"As our union’s Treasurer, I am keen to focus on ensuring our financial stability," says Suffoletta. "A strong union requires strong financial security.”

Damian's two-year term will begin on January 1, 2021.

Congratulations Damian and thank you to Immaculate Nevis for putting her name forward!

Nevis remains a member of the Board as Director for Midtown District. Suffoletta’s present position as College Park District Director will require a by-election in early 2021 to find a successor.

Damian succeeds Chris Harper, who chose not to stand for re-election after three terms as the union’s Treasurer.

“I have had the esteemed privilege to be your Treasurer and to serve you in this role,” Harper said. “I am so extremely grateful to all of the Delegates, to the Board of Directors, to all of the AMAPCEO staff, and to all that have helped and supported me in this role over the years.”

President Dave Bulmer thanked Harper for his many contributions to AMAPCEO as Treasurer.

“Chris has steadfastly monitored our financial details for the past six years,” Bulmer said. “He’s decided to focus more of his time on his family and career. We’ll miss his contributions—and his ‘dad’ jokes at the Annual Delegates’ Conference.”

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
