President Dave Bulmer, Vice-President Cynthia Watt, Treasurer Damian Suffoletta, Board Chair Angela Freeman, and Board Vice-Chair Jason Gartshore have been taking part virtually in a formal labour relations certificate program offered by Ryerson University's Centre for Labour Management Relations (CLMR) in conjunction with Lancaster House.
AMAPCEO has entered into a partnership with Ryerson where the union provides the CLMR with sponsorship seed money and the expertise of Bulmer sitting on their Advisory Board, and in return, receives 30 program registrations that will be used by the Board of Directors, Employee Relations Committee Chairs, and Workplace Representative Mentors spanning course offerings in the spring and fall of 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Bulmer said, “It’s a great refresher for those of us who do this everyday and a tremendous opportunity for our greater leadership team to add valuable skill sets that will build our capacity for years to come. Our ongoing partnerships with Ryerson’s CLMR and with Lancaster House Labour, Employment, and Human Rights Law continue to pay dividends.”
