Bay Street District Director Jane Colonna announced to her Board colleagues last week that she would not be seeking re-election to her position and would step down at the end of her current term on December 31. Jane has been a member of the AMAPCEO Board since January 2017. A project manager in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Jane has been active in AMAPCEO for many years, including service as Vice-Chair of the former North York Chapter when AMAPCEO was first certified as a bargaining agent in 1995. She was also a member of the OPS negotiating team during the 2012 round of collective bargaining.
In brief remarks to the Board at its meetings last week, Jane said that, while she was stepping down from the Board of Directors, she intended to remain active in other AMAPCEO roles. President Dave Bulmer paid tribute to her work as a Director, noting that the leadership she provided to her District can serve as a model for others.
