GTA North District Director Kerry-Ann Douglas-Powell has announced that she will be resigning as Director to accept a management-excluded position within the Anti-Racism Directorate of the OPS. Kerry-Ann has been a member of the AMAPCEO Board since January 2017. An Application Training Specialist in the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Kerry-Ann was an AMAPCEO Delegate before her election to the Board and has been a member of the Board’s Education and Equity Committees. She thanked the Board for giving her the opportunity to serve. Her resignation will take effect on June 21.
President Dave Bulmer paid tribute to Kerry-Ann’s work as a Director, noting that the number of activists in her District increased significantly under her leadership, and wishing her well in her new role with the Directorate. Kerry-Ann in turn, credited her experience with AMAPCEO in playing a key role in her career success.
Under the provisions of the AMAPCEO Constitution, a by-election to fill the Director’s position on the Board will be held among the members in the GTA North District.
