Active AMAPCEO member and outgoing LGBTQ+ Caucus Chair Patrick Roncal has taken an excluded position within the OPS and will be leaving the union.
Throughout his time with AMAPCEO, Roncal was a dedicated activist. In addition to his work as Caucus Chair, Roncal also served as a Workplace Representative, a Health and Safety Representative, AMERC member, and a Delegate for University/Toronto South District, as well as on the new member welcoming committee. It was under Roncal’s leadership as Chair that the Caucus introduced their series of virtual Fireside Chats, which offered opportunities for Caucus members to stay connected during the pandemic.
President Dave Bulmer reflected on Roncal’s work with the union and wished him well going forward: “Patrick has been a credit to AMAPCEO. His commitment, innovation, and energy will be missed. I wish him all the best.”
The LGBTQ+ Caucus is accepting nominations for the Chair position, which can be submitted at nominations@amapceo.on.ca, until Monday, September 20 at noon ET. Please note that you must be a member of the Caucus to self-nominate. You can apply to join the Caucus here.
