AMAPCEO members in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) will soon be able to lighten the load on their bill at their next dental appointment.
AMAPCEO and the OPS Employer came to an agreement on June 16, 2017 that will allow OPS members to opt-in to have insurance carrier Great West Life pay most of their dental claim directly, rather than wait for reimbursement.
“This is an option that AMAPCEO members have asked for and I’m proud we were able to work with the OPS Employer to provide it,” said AMAPCEO Vice-President Cynthia Watt. “You’ll no longer have to wait for reimbursement for what are sometimes pricey bills for you and your family.”
Under the new arrangement, Great West Life will pay dentists directly for eligible services that are covered by the plan. Members will only be responsible for paying any applicable deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered by the plan.
