Bay District Director Rocco Fasano and Front District Director Jennifer Harewood are stepping away from the Board, each for a temporary leave of absence after accepting a secondment based in another district.
Fasano is a devoted public servant and has been an active part of AMAPCEO since 2012. In addition to his role as Director, he has also served as a District Community Lead, Member Engager, and Treasurer.
“Rocco’s energy, enthusiasm and dedication will be missed,” said President Dave Bulmer.
During Fasano’s absence, Bay District Vice-Chair Valerie Russell will be serving as Acting Director for the District. Fasano will be stepping away from the Board as of Monday, July 26.
Harewood is also a long-time public servant who has been active in AMAPCEO since 2009. In addition to joining the Board a year ago, she’s been a Delegate, Workplace Representative, and AMERC Representative for Education.
“Jen has been a strong activist for many years and her experience has been a welcome addition to the Board of late,” said Bulmer.
Harewood will be stepping away as of Monday, August 9, and Front District Vice-Chair Chris Cully will be assuming Harewood’s duties.
Bulmer observed, “we’ve lost a few people of late – Immaculate Nevis, Jason Gartshore, and now Jen and Rocco. This sort of thing happens when you have a talented team, and we respect that when opportunity knocks that we may lose someone. We wish Jen and Rocco all the best with these opportunities and would be happy to have them back.”
