AMAPCEO congratulates Cynthia Watt on her recent acclamation to the position of Vice-President.
Watt has served as Vice-President of AMAPCEO since January 2016. Prior to her election to the Board as Vice-President, Watt served as Education Chapter Chair, an ERC Representative, a Workplace Representative, and a member of the Finance Committee. Watt, along with President Bulmer, co-sponsored the motions establishing the Education Committee and re-establishing the Finance Committee.
Watt’s stewardship as Vice-President has been key to the union’s equity efforts, its education programming, and its ongoing revitalization of its Employee Relations Committees. Watt also acts as Board Liaison to fixed-term and contract workers and represents the union at several central- and Ministry-aligned labour relations tables.
“Cynthia’s passion and dedication are inspiring,” said President Dave Bulmer. “There’s nothing she enjoys more than a new project and the union has covered ground we wouldn’t have otherwise without her good work. We complement one another and I look forward to the opportunity to accomplish more together.”
