AMAPCEO members at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care have voted ‘Yes’ to accept the proposed five-year collective agreement.
The contract is effective from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2023 and includes:
- across-the-board wage increases of 1.4% (2018), 1.75% (2019), 1.75% (2020), and 1.75% (2021), followed by a match to the OPSEU central hospital deal in 2022;
- increased vacation time;
- two paid personal days above the Employment Standards Act;
- slight increase to optical benefit coverage;
- improvements to “on call” amounts; and
- stronger right to representation language.
“Thank you to elected bargaining team members Monica Murphy and Sherrie Fournier at Waypoint and AMAPCEO staff member Gary Perlmutter for their efforts in reaching a deal so quickly,” said President Dave Bulmer. “This five-year deal is a fair one for the hard-working staff at Waypoint, who help plan and provide for excellent mental health care.”
