We're forming a union at the OAGO

The employees of the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario work hard to provide integral public services to the people of Ontario—it is OAGO employees’ skills, dedication, and expertise that keep this province accountable.

In return, OAGO employees deserve a fair, transparent, and respectful workplace, and strong benefits and protections.

That’s why employees at the Office of the Auditor General of Ontario filed an application for union representation with AMAPCEO, Ontario’s professional employees.

Update: The fight continues and AMAPCEO is still in OAGO employees' corner

OAGO employees' efforts to form a union are not over. The employer's behaviour throughout the campaign was inappropriate, unjust, and unlawful. AMAPCEO has filed an Unfair Labour Practices Complaint against the employer, is involved in the ongoing process to determine positions are included in the bargaining unit, and in the legal challenge to the right of OAGO employees to be in a bargaining unit at all.

Stay signed up to the OAGO union mailing list for updates on the outcome of these processes.

AMAPCEO has reiterated that they remain committed to a better workplace for OAGO employees, and will do everything in their power to ensure accountability, fairness, and due process for all.

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
