Damian Suffoletta

A long-time AMAPCEO activist, Damian Suffoletta is a champion of transparency. His work on the Finance Committee lead to making our budget more accessible and appropriately-planned for our union. He has also held positions as a Delegate, a Workplace Representative and Mentor, an ERC Representative, and has served on numerous committees and caucuses. With an interest in governance that goes back to serving for his student union during his university years, he became more involved in AMAPCEO to ensure his area was well informed about what he knew would be a contentious round of OPS bargaining in 2012.

Damian started in the OPS right after university through the Ontario Internship program and worked in a Regional Office of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care before moving to the Long Term Care Homes branch of that Ministry. After restructuring, he found a place with the Ministry of Finance's Provincial-Local Finance Division and have served there since.

An avid world traveller, Damian visited all seven continents before her turned 30. He has gotten close to lions in Kenya, swam with dolphins in the Caribbean, been covered with snakes in Singapore, and seen the penguins of Antarctica, but his favourite animal, Taffy the cockapoo, resides with him here in Ontario, and he will show you photos of her if prompted.
