Biography

Victoria Marshall joined AMAPCEO on December 9, 2022, the day after she and her colleagues at the College of Midwives of Ontario voted to join the union. Victoria previously worked as a union organizer, including on the largest union drive in Canadian history, successfully organizing thousands of non-full-time staff at Ontario’s public colleges. Leading the organizing drive in her workplace was a different kind of challenge and one of her proudest professional accomplishments. Her current role at the College of Midwives of Ontario is Communications and Stakeholder Relations Officer.

In her time as an AMAPCEO member, Victoria has enjoyed representing Midtown members at AMAPCEO events, including bargaining training, the Activist and Leaders Forum, the Annual Delegate Conference, the Labour Day Parade, and lunch-time webinars and social events. She knows the value that members find in the events and training opportunities AMAPCEO provides and is eager to continue working to engage new activists.

As Director, Victoria will bring her engagement experience to her district and focus on member engagement, finding opportunities to connect and share throughout the year. She is dedicated to building a strong and diverse community in Midtown, and appreciates that Midtown has many workplaces, Ministries, and several bargaining units outside of the OPS.

We would like to acknowledge Tkaronto, a Mohawk word meaning “the place in the water where the trees are standing.”

The AMAPCEO office is on the traditional unceded territory of Haudenosaunee speaking nations, including the Wendat, Seneca and Mohawk. These nations have been here since time immemorial and were in more recent times joined by the Mississaugas of the Credit.
