Women's History Month is celebrated in Canada during the month of October. It was designated as such by the Government of Canada in 1992.
The month-long celebration is dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of women throughout Canada's history. Women's History Month in Canada includes International Day of the Girl on October 11 and Persons Day on October 18.
