Highlights
Your AMAPCEO Bargaining Team and the OAC Employer have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract to run retroactively to 2025 and through to 2028. Your bargaining team is unanimously recommending ratification.
The following is a summary of highlights only.
Term
A three-year contract from April 1, 2025 until March 31, 2028
Salary increases
Across-the-board salary increases of 2.75%, 2.25%, and 2% over those respective years, applied retroactively.
Improvements to benefits
Going forward, vision and hearing benefits are now included in the benefits plan and 100% employer covered.
Work/life balance wins
In the tentative agreement:
- compress worked weeks (CWWs) and flexible hours of work will be explicitly recognized alternative work arrangement (AWA) options
- The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding AWAs will be replaced with a new MOU that provides a time-limited period for the employer to make decisions on AWAs to replace the hybrid work standard
- members will be permitted to carry over 12 vacation days (up from 10) at their discretion without manager approval
- fixed term employees can use their paid days off immediately
Workplace improvements
- The number of Workplace Representatives will increase to 3
- The joint Equity Committee will extend for the term of the agreement
