AMAPCEO’s Board of Directors met last week for the union’s annual strategic planning session, taking the opportunity to reflect on the work over the past year and to identify opportunities to tackle in the year ahead.
As the union embarks on the fourth year of the its five-year plan, the Board took the opportunity to review progress made on the union’s four cornerstones – Labour Relations, Member Engagement, Outreach, and Governance and Operations.
The three-day session also included in-depth discussions on key policies, updates on bargaining readiness, Employee Relations and Board Committee appointments, mandate letters, review of the union’s financial reserves and district structure, as well an update on the ARDIE Action Plan.
“It's important for our Board of Directors to check in annually on our strategic plan and to reflect on foundational items like human and financial resources and our governance and membership services model,”said AMAPCEO President Dave Bulmer.
The Board also approved a series of small changes to its district boundaries in response to the employer’s movement of members’ workplaces.
