Artificial intelligence is changing the workplace. As employers across the public sector explore ways to integrate AI into their operations, AMAPCEO is working to ensure that new technologies are introduced responsibly.

In addition to these protections, AMAPCEO has secured commitments from employers to consult with the union on AI-related issues. Ensuring workers have a meaningful voice in the development and implementation of AI policies is critical. AMAPCEO will continue to advocate for members’ interests whenever AI policies are being developed.
To support this work, AMAPCEO has established an internal working group to monitor developments in AI and assess their implications for members. The union is also engaging in discussions with employers, elected officials, and senior bureaucrats on the opportunities and risks associated with AI.
AMAPCEO is currently developing additional educational resources and a policy statement on AI. The issue was also a focus of discussion at the recent Activist and Leaders Forum.
