AMAPCEO is pleased to announce that the bargaining team for the union’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) unit has been appointed, with Arielle Brenman and Chet Ng taking on the roles. Both members were present at the Bargaining Team Training session held recently at the AMAPCEO office.
This FSRA Bargaining Team brings both experience and dedication to the table. Chet is a seasoned volunteer, having served as Workplace Representative, Health and Safety Representative, District Delegate, and member of the 2022-2025 FSRA Bargaining Team.
“Navigating my own contract to full-time conversion and the FSRA divestment gave me the motivation to volunteer and get firsthand knowledge of all the benefits, processes and protections of the collective agreement,” said Chet.
Arielle, a newer AMAPCEO activist, cites her experience as a FSRA project manager and her commitment as a proud AMAPCEO member as assets to the bargaining process: “With experience in managing complex projects, I bring strategic thinking, collaboration, and a results-driven approach to the table.”
“I’ve seen how strong, principled bargaining can improve our workplace,” Arielle continued. “I’m committed to contributing meaningfully by representing my colleagues, bringing forward their concerns and ideas, and helping build a more equitable and sustainable future.”
Chet echoed his fellow team member’s sentiments on the member-led element of collective bargaining: “Bargaining is not an arbitrary process to us the members. The bargaining team will be well prepared, bringing reasonable, researched proposals that have been thought through.”
The Bargaining Team encourages all FSRA members to stay up to date on the latest bargaining developments by keeping an eye on their email inbox and visiting amapceo.ca/bargaining/fsra. They also emphasize the importance of collective action and the message it sends.
“It is important for FSRA members to stand together to show that what the team brings to the bargaining table is truly what is important to the members,” said Chet.
Arielle concurs: “I believe in the power of collective advocacy and the importance of ensuring every voice is heard.”
