On September 10, more than 3,000 members of the OPS connected to AMAPCEO’s fourth town hall to learn more about the announcement of the OPS Employer’s Gradual Reopening of OPS Workplaces (GROW) plan.
In the town hall, President Dave Bulmer and Vice-President Cynthia Watt addressed some highlights from the plan and took members’ questions about returning to the workplace. President Bulmer also reminded members that the recent announcement was about a gradual return, wherein most employees will still work the majority of the week remotely, and that all employees are guaranteed two weeks’ notice before they specifically are called back to the workplace.
If you weren’t able to participate in the townhall, a recording is now available online.
Many of the current top questions from members are addressed on our COVID-19 FAQ page, including recently added responses:
- 'How will the 30% capacity limit be implemented - is it based on the building or floor?'
- 'Will CWW arrangements be restarted automatically or do these have to be re-established in writing?'
- 'If case numbers worsen, is it possible the GROW plan will be slowed-down or halted?'
- 'Would it be reasonable to negotiate flexibility to work from home when children are ill and need to be home for up to 14 days?'
More top questions will be answered in the days ahead.
AMAPCEO is organizing another digital town hall for October. Watch for an announcement of the date and time on the AMAPCEO website.
