Purpose
This policy establishes AMAPCEO’s exclusive use of its name, identity, image and brand. It is meant to protect and uphold the integrity, values and reputation of the Union.
Scope
The scope of this policy shall include the use of AMAPCEO’s name, identity, image and its brand.
All of which shall also include the following proprietary items: logos, taglines, slogans, domain names, website and social media imagery, and branded materials.
Delegation of Authority
AMAPCEO’s Board of Directors maintains authority over this policy with the noted ability to delegate oversight, as necessary for timeliness purposes to its Executive Committee.
Application
This policy shall be enforceable upon all members and employees of the Union within the parameters of AMAPCEO’s constitution, by-laws, and code of conduct policies, and their disciplinary processes.
AMAPCEO also reserves the right to defend its exclusivity over its name, identity, image, and brand, and to pursue legal remedy against any misuse by parties external to the union and its general membership.
Acceptable Use
- Any use of AMAPCEO’s name, identity, image, or brand, as noted within the scope of this policy, may only occur with the express consent of the AMAPCEO Board of Directors or its designees: the Executive Committee, the President/CEO, or the Chief Operating Officer.
- Any use of the AMAPCEO’s name, identity, image or brand must be in accordance with the Union’s approved brand guidelines and messaging, and respectful of the Union’s values and reputation.
Unacceptable Use
- Any use of AMAPCEO’s name, identity, image or brand, as noted within the scope of this policy – without the express consent of the Board of Directors or its appointed designees.
- Any misrepresentation by way of implied endorsement or affiliation where none exists, any imitation or impersonation, any unauthorized material production or merchandising, and any inappropriate, offensive, or controversial use that might cause damage to the Union’s reputation.
